Community RPG Club Tickets | Weekly Sessions at Behold Games
Behold Games is passionate about nurturing the role-playing community, and we're excited to have some of our community members host open-table RPG sessions.
These sessions are open to anyone who wishes to join them, simply reserve a spot by buying a ticket which covers the room hire for the community GM's use.
Each week is a different RPG system, and beginners are absolutely welcome, however our sessions are all age 18+ (unless otherwise noted). All sessions start at 6:30PM and wrap up by 10:30PM.
Upcoming Sessions:
Thu 15 Oct. The Zone
Grotesque Mutant: Rachel (she/him)
Players: 3-5
Age: 18+
☢️☢️☢️ Get lost in the dark! Mutate your friends! The Zone is a surreal, play-to-lose horror RPG, where we tell the story of a doomed expedition into the heart of a mysterious quarantine zone. Exactly what strange horrors lie within are shaped by each character's own obsessions and phobias, and the characters themselves are twisted and mutated by the zone in turn, until only one is left to claim the wish at the centre! ☢️☢️☢️
Wed 21 Oct. Swoop: Attack of the Magpies (Dread)
Dread Lord: Hannah (she/they)
Players: 3-6
Age: 18+
“What is black and white – and red all over?”
You are a group of students on a camping trip deep into the Australian bush. While hiking through this beautiful National Park you hear the magpies eerily calling out to each other. Known to be territorial birds, you will soon learn how deadly they can really be.
Come be part of Australiana's answer to Hitchcock's The Birds in this game of Dread. Pull blocks from the Jenga tower to determine your fate, but watch out - if it falls the consequences could be fatal.
Thu 29 Oct. The Skeletons
Facilitator: Nathan (He/Him)
Players: 3-6
Age: 18+
For countless years you have stood watch in the darkness. You do not remember your name, your life, or why you were chosen for this duty. Flesh has long since fallen from your bones, but still you guard the tomb.
In The Skeletons, the classic dungeon crawl is turned on its head. You aren't the adventurers, you are the undead guardians waiting for them.
Centuries may pass between these brief moments of violence. Kingdoms rise and fall, the tomb changes around you, and fragments of your forgotten life slowly return. Who were you before you became a skeleton? What are you protecting? And after an eternity of watching in the dark, how much of the person you once were remains?
Wed 4 Nov. The Soul Trap Shuffle (Royal Blood)
Fate Themself: Jay (They/Them)
Players: 3-6
Age: 18+
What do the cards say about me? They say... Your crimes have been forgiven. Prepare for retribution.
YOU are the FALLEN, deities cast for your crimes. THEY are the NEW GODS of this place, bright and glittering, woven throughout the rising city of New Orleans. You have taken mortal form and gather the remnants of your power - your cults, temples, wonders, and nations - and band together to kick in the doors of the divine.
Royal Blood is a tabletop roleplaying game about heists, tarot cards, magic, fate and desperation. It uses a deck of tarot cards to build characters, plan a heist and determine opposition, and to resolve every risky action the players make in an attempt to claim power.
Thu 12 Nov. Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast
Concierge: Rachel (she/him)
Players: 3-6
Age: 18+
On the front door of Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast, there is a sign which reads: “No soliciting, trespassing, romancing, snooping, snitching, or unnecessary smalltalk welcome." Underneath that sign is a second, smaller sign which reads “Room For Everyone.”
Our story begins in a sprawling old house outside time and space, where it’s always September 15th and there’s always room for a new visitor. A teen girl sits on the windowsill, reading a well-worn paperback and listening to the splashy-crashy rain come down. She's alone in the world, but soon enough the strangers who reside here will become her closest friends, family, and mentors.
If you love slice-of-life fantasy, queer found family, and cutting-edge game mechanics, then please join us at Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast.
Wed 18 Nov. The Lost Convent (Sisterhood)
GM: Blair (he/him)
Players: 3-4
Age: 18+
“In the woods stands an old nunnery. A church steeple, once rising high above the trees,
has fallen. So too have the Sisters of this once holy place.”
Sisterhood is a multiplayer tabletop roleplaying game where everyone plays as nuns. But not just any nuns. Gun toting, cigarette smoking, demon punching nuns. Create a crack team of sisters and try to stop the apocalypse.
Thu 26 Nov. The Wassailing of Claus Manor (Trophy Dark)
Keeper: Josh (he/him)
Players: 3-5
Age: 18+
“Servants wanted, all skill sets welcome.
Excellent pay, Christmas bonuses of £50 guaranteed, discretion is a must.
Enquire at Claus Manor, 384 Kringle Court, North Pole.”
That’s what the flyer said, but knocking on the side door to the manor, you have your doubts. Still, you need this job and a guaranteed Christmas bonus of £50…you NEED this job.
The Wassailing of Claus Manor is a Yuletide Maelstrom of Christmas Spirit, dark secrets, crazy aristocrats and playing to lose. Based on the Trophy Dark system.
What you need to know:
- The person running or facilitating the game each week will explain the rules on the night, no need for preparation. Complexity will vary, but the vibe will always be casual and supportive. There won't be any pressure to "get the rules right".
- They'll provide characters to choose from where appropriate.
- Players should bring pen and paper and a set of polyhedral dice (we also sell dice in the store!).
- They will try to capture the "vibe" of each game in the descriptions. Players are encouraged to match that energy.
- Different games use different dice. They'll make sure to provide what is needed, but everyone is welcome to bring their own standard set if they want to.
- The room will be open from 6pm and the introduction/game will start at 6:30.
- All games are 18+ unless otherwise noted. This is at the GMs discretion.
- The Community RPG Club only takes on GMs who have participated in RPGs run by the group already - if you're interested in running a game please start by attending some and getting to know the group first.
Any questions? Jump into our discord and get in touch with the GM's directly.
