Session Name

Join our community GMs for RPG Welcome Day - a full day of RPG taster sessions on June 27th 2026.

Free RPG Day is not running in Australia this year, so we're bringing the fun to you with our own RPG Welcome Day across 6 tables all day long!

Each session ticket is $20 and includes a Chessex Hidden Wonders dice set.

Not happy with what you unbox? You're welcome to swap once with Teena's personal collection, or swap freely with other participants on the day to find a Chessex Hidden Wonder you really love.

Most sessions are 18+ unless otherwise noted. Some sessions have been specifically designed for younger players - age requirements are listed per session below. If you are bringing an under-18, both you and your under-18 must each have a ticket for the session.

Booking multiple sessions?

You're welcome to book multiple sessions across the day or move to a different table - just make sure to check session times carefully to avoid overlapping bookings as tables have staggered session times.

Need to cancel?

Refunds are available up to 8am on the day. Please get in touch as soon as possible.

What to bring

Bring your favourite dice, or use the Chessex Hidden Wonders set included with your ticket on the day. We also recommend a notepad and pen, as some adventures may ask you to make notes or mark up a character sheet. All adventures will provide you with a pre-generated character to play.

Table 1 - Rachel (she/him)

  • Session 1 — 10:00am to 2:00pm (4hrs) — Delta Green with Handler: Rachel (she/him)
    • 18+ session
    • Born of the U.S. government’s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert agency known as Delta Green opposes the forces of darkness with honor but without glory. Delta Green agents fight to save humanity from unnatural horrors - often at a shattering personal cost. This introductory mission drops you into a tense, atmospheric investigation where you play as  agents cleaning out a deceased colleague's apartment, only to uncover unsettling secrets that test exactly what you're willing to do to keep the world safe.

  • Break 2:00pm – 2:30pm

  • Session 2 — 2:30pm to 5:30pm (3hrs) — Yazeba's Bed & Breakfast with Concierge: Rachel (she/him)
    • 18+ session
    • Our story begins in a sprawling old house outside time and space, where it’s always September 15th and there’s always room for a new visitor. A teen girl sits on the windowsill, reading a well-worn paperback and listening to the splashy-crashy rain come down. She’s alone in the world, but soon enough the strangers who reside here will become her closest friends, family, and mentors. Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast is a slice-of-life fantasy roleplaying game of queer found family, with cutting-edge game mechanics. The adventures contained within each chapter include lazy afternoons, frightful nights, insurmountable chores, and zany competitions, so every play session is full of surprises.

Table 2 - Sophie (she/her)

  • Session 1 — 10:00am to 2:00pm (4hrs) — D&D with GM: Sophie (she/her)
    • Age 15+ session
    • No matter the guide, the Sky Sperpent watches all who enter its domain. You must be cunning, choose your allies wisely, lest you become another tale lost to Mt. Arobora's howling winds. Obojima is a Ghibli-esc, whimsical setting for DnD 5e. You will encounter strange spirits, discover rare oddities, and battle wild and wondrous creatures. Rediscover the cosy leisure fantasy that DnD can offer or use this opportunity to learn what the fuss of DnD is about.

  • Break 2:00pm – 2:30pm

  • Session 2 — 2:30pm to 5:30pm (3hrs) — World We Left Behind with GM: Sophie (she/her)
    • 18+ session
    • In The World We Left Behind, play as astronauts trekking across an alien planet. Learn about the planet’s flora and fauna while uncovering vestiges of the past. What happened to the sapient species that called this planet home? Why do only remnant of their lives remain? During this casual worldbuilding game, players draw and write on playing cards to create a planet, populate it with traits, and uncover the mystery of the species that left this world behind.

Table 3 - Hannah (she/they)

  • Session 1 — 10:00am to 1:00pm (3hrs) — Dungeons & Kittens with GM: Hannah (she/they)
    • Age 8+ session
    • An adventure roleplaying game that blends animal tales with medieval fantasy. Welcome to a post-apocalyptic world where the humans have all disappeared and animals evolved. Play as a group of kittens exiled by Naughty King Walter, using meowgic and technology from the past to solve problems and explore this new world.

  • Break 1:00pm – 1:30pm

  • Session 2 — 1:30pm to 5:30pm (4hrs) — Kids on Bikes with GM: Hannah (she/they)
    • Age 16+ session
    • Kids on Bikes is a mystery roleplaying game set in small towns. The town that the players will be in will be right in the middle of the Australian outback. The heat is dry, the dirt is red, the internet sucks and there's barely any phone reception - but somethings out there.

Table 4 - Peter (he/him) & Blair (he/him)

  • Session 1 — 10:00am to 1:00pm (3hrs) — Runequest with GM: Peter (he/him)
    • 18+ session
    • On the road riding in pursuit of the thieves that stole a large portion of your tribe’s cattle—one of its greatest sources of wealth. In the course of this heinous crime, they slew two of your kin and wounded another: simple herders, not even tribal warriors.  Zarah, your clan-chieftain’s wife set you—her boldest and most able-bodied allies—to follow, recover the cattle, and exact retribution for the trespass.

  • Break 1:00pm – 1:30pm

  • Session 2 — 1:30pm to 5:30pm (4hrs) — Daggerheart with GM: Blair (he/him)
    • 18+ session
    • Start the session by choosing the adventure and filling in the blanks in its description - a small taste of the collaborative campaign setup Daggerheart recommends. Come along to try out Daggerheart or just to see me attempt to roll with whatever setting, setup, and quest we come up with! 1st Level Characters provided.

Table 5 - Daniel (he/him) & Jayo (he/they)

  • Session 1 — 10:00am to 2:00pm (4hrs) — Cosmere RPG with GM: Daniel (he/him)
    • 18+ session
    • Brightness Elia Matal has organised an expedition from the warcamps to uncover some ruins found in the Shattered Plains. Will you be able to uncovers secrets of the past as an Ardent, escape servitude as a Bridgeman or do your duty as a soldier? Perfect for fans of Brandon Sanderson, but no knowledge of the setting required.

  • Break 2:00pm – 2:30pm

  • Session 2 — 2:30pm to 5:30pm (3hrs) — Shadowdark with GM: Jayo (he/they)
    • 18+ session
    • Sir Galen the Brave was once a legend, but his deeds have faded into myth and his tomb is now lost to ivy and shadow. We’re heading in for a classic dungeon crawl. Don’t expect to be a superhero here, the tomb holds threats that will easily claim the lives of those who rush in without a plan. Shadowdark is old-school gaming redesigned with modern mechanics. It's fast, familiar, and intuitive, but much more lethal. Light is your most precious resource: torches last for 1 hour of real time and nobody has darkvision.

Table 6 - Jay (they/them)

  • Session 1 — 10:00am to 1:00pm (3hrs) — Monster of the Week with Keeper: Jay (they/them)
    • Age 15+ session
    • You are a member of the latest Ghost Hunting crew to come from Coolsville, and you've found your first job! The super fancy mansion built by the renowned mystery writer has been abandoned for... oh, about 3 months now? And by all rights, that means it could potentially be haunted and it's up to you to find out! The groundskeeper is a friend of your uncle, and has begrudgingly agreed to let you all into the McMansion grounds to investigate! He clearly doesn't expect you to find anything, but what would he know? The vibes of this session will be goofy and spooky, like a cartoon ghost wearing a top hat.

  • Break 1:00pm – 1:30pm

  • Session 2 — 1:30pm to 5:30pm (4hrs) — Brindlewood Bay with Keeper: Jay (they/them)
    • 18+ session
    • The most popular baking program in the world, The Jolly Good Baking Show, has come to Brindlewood Bay to find the town's very best baker. Your mystery book club, the Murder Mavens, have made it through the qualifiers and into the final televised rounds! Despite your book club's reputation for being involved in local troubles, your hopes are high that this will not be one of those. What could possibly go wrong in a bake-off? Except, unfortunately, a bump-off. This is a dark and cozy setting combining a love letter to the 70's, 80's and 90's with a strange and hidden cosmic horror.
